Also yesterday, I was sworn in to the Auxiliary aboard the icebreaker Polar Star at Pier 36 in Seattle.

US Coast Guard District 13 has release a video summarizing various events and functions that occurred in March. District 13 is the region including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Needless to say, there isn’t much news from Idaho and Montana, in general.

I’m a sucker for this stuff. By the way, I grew up in Oregon, but I’ll admit that I don’t know how to pronounce “Yaquina”. Anyone? Even Wikipedia is mute on the pronunciation.
