Hot pink fishing in Puget Sound, and lots of other salmon fishing activities to keep anglers busy

The pink fishery has amped up to hot in recent days to go right along with the nice weather we’re finally seeing.

Anglers didn’t have to venture far to find them as places like Shilshole Bay, diagnosis Alki Point south to Redondo Beach, cure Tacoma, treat Mukilteo, Whidbey Island and the Edmonds areas were all giving up some excellent pink fishing with many getting their limits in no time.

"It was on fire (Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 23-24), and we caught 18 pinks this morning to go along with our three silvers and once was a nice ocean one going about 9 to 10 pounds," said Gary Krein, owner of All-Star Charters in Shilshole Bay. "we fished right out in front of the marina and were back at the docks early."
