From various news sources, we’ve learned that The Puget Sound Partnership released more on its cleanup plans at the request of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. According to ecologist John Gabrielson, the EPA wants specifics on how the plan will be implemented.
Apparently, the PSP didn’t give the public enough time to comment on the plan when it was released last fall. The current 30-day comment period ends April 20.
EPA approval is required before the plan can receive any federal funding through the National Estuary Program.
