Captain Kezner’s Lake Union Ice Cream Cruise

by Tim Flanagan on December 27, 2008

Looking for a great way to share your love of maritime Seattle with out-of-town guests? Try Larry Kezner’s 45-minute “Sunday Ice Cream Cruise”, departing hourly from 11:00 to 15:00 on Sundays year-round, from the west side of the old Naval Reserve Armory building at the south end of Lake Union.

M/V Fremont Avenue is a 50-foot, 30-ton passenger vessel owned and operated by Captain Kezner.  He shares anecdotes and history during the cruise, as guests enjoy his not-yet-world-famous chocolate root-beer floats.

Thanks for the tip. This looks like a fun outing. A little education while looking at our beautiful maritime heritage heart of our city.

Good-looking rag you have here. It seems like you and all the other bloggers could pull Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center into the fold and help promote their facility and services (and vice versa?). Is there serendipity therein? Do other sites link to them? I know they are struggling and it seems a shame; they have a lot to offer.

Sincerely, Pete
